Be True | Be You
Posted on May 27, 2019
We are less than a week away from our Annual Alumni Reunion in Philadelphia, PA and Coconut Creek, FL. I am so excited! There are lots of reasons for my excitement. Not only is this my first time being at our Philadelphia location (I work out of our Charlotte location), but I'm looking forward to connecting with each of the women (and their supports) who attend the event. My hope is that those who attend will feel inspired, reconnected to their motivation and support and also be able to enjoy the day celebrating recovery!
The goal behind this year's reunion theme, Be True | Be You,
is that everyone who attends will feel empowered to be congruent with themselves and express who they are without feeling guilt or shame. There is immeasurable value in taking off the masks of who you "should" or "could" be and showing up as you are in the present moment.
What does being true to yourself look like for you? If you're not sure, I hope you will walk away from the reunion with a little more certainty.
Here is a sneak peek of what topics we will cover in the workshops:
The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia, PA
• Debunking Exercise Myths: Identifying the Truth about Exercise
• Substance Use & Recovery
• Being True to Yourself in a Body Image Focused World: Recovery & the Media
• Art Therapy: Snapshots of Your Recovery Journey
The Renfrew Center of Coconut Creek, FL
• Dance Movement Therapy
• Treating Yourself to Self-Care
• The Truth About Exercise
• Art Therapy: Being True to Yourself
• Family & Friends Support Recovery
If you can't make it to the reunion, make sure you attend our summer Alumni Workshop on Body Neutrality, happening in the middle-end of June! Click here
