The Voice

While working with my treatment team, both in and out of Renfrew, I came to learn that I had a loud, critical and powerful voice in my head. With their help I was able to stop this voice and take back my life.

This picture illustrates what I had been experiencing - many dark, hurtful and powerful words going into my ear, causing so much pain and affecting how I saw things. This voice and these words may have come from a parent, the media, the clothing industry, a diet guru, the scale, friends, etc.

Over time, however, the voice began to lose its power over me. I choose not to listen and to starve the voice of its power and influence over me. I freed the real ME and it's been a beautiful and unveiling journey.
