Art therapy at our non-residential sites looked a lot different starting in March of 2020! As our programming went virtual at the start of the pandemic, art therapy was conducted through zoom. Participants used whatever art supplies they had on hand to respond to recovery-based prompts, which they shared through the computer. It was amazing to see how patients and staff alike adapted to the new format and continued to support each other through treatment and create meaningful pieces of art.
This patient artwork from The Renfrew Centers of Radnor, Philadelphia and Boston are featured in The Renfrew Center Foundation's 2021 Art Calendar. Each piece of artwork in this calendar was selected because it contains a deep truth that is illuminated in beauty through the visual language. The pieces were chosen from thousands of compelling works of art that have been created in art therapy groups at The Renfrew Center. To order your copy, please click here.
