Recovery is a process that continues beyond the walls of treatment — it requires support, attention and motivation. As the Alumni Services Coordinator for The Renfrew Centers, I hope to serve as the link between you and the services Renfrew offers. I truly believe that recovery can not be achieved or maintained alone, and a supportive network of recovery focused resources and people is important especially in maintaining recovery. Whether you are doing well or struggling, Renfrew will be there for you.
Through our alumni community, we work to support you and meet your needs at every stage of recovery. Renfrew has provided care to over 85,000 women since our founding in 1985, and we continue our commitment to provide you with resources, from both staff and fellow alumni, to build lasting recovery and the life you deserve. As we know recovery is a continuous process so we hope that you will provide us with the feedback about what you need and want in your recovery.
Whether listening to our monthly webinars
, gathering hope and motivation from the stories in our Expressions of Recovery
section, hearing from Renfrew Center staff on the Recovery Blog
, or attending a local site's alumni event, my hope is that you continue to stay connected to Renfrew through whatever service feels right to you. Having this access to the wisdom of other alumni and from Renfrew staff will enhance your opportunities for emotional connection and support.
I'm excited to be your connection to the Renfrew Alumni Services Network. My hope is for you and your loved-ones to find the many opportunities we provide to be helpful - but, remember, you will only get out as much as you put it. As you grow in recovery, know that Renfrew is here for you along your journey!
Warmly,Erin Birely, LCPCAlumni Coordinator
