Recovery is a process that continues beyond the walls of treatment — it requires maintenance and motivation. As the Alumni Services Coordinator for The Renfrew Centers, I serve as the link between you and the services Renfrew offers. It is my belief that relationships based on trust, safety and healing are imperative during your recovery process - whether you are doing well or struggling, Renfrew will be there for you.
Through our alumni community, we work to support you and meet your needs at every stage of recovery. Renfrew has provided care to over 75,000 women since our founding in 1985, and we continue our commitment to provide you with resources, from both staff and fellow alumni, to build lasting recovery and the life you deserve.
Whether listening to our monthly webinars
, gathering hope and motivation from the stories in our Expressions of Recovery
section or hearing from Renfrew Center staff on the Recovery Blog
, my hope is that you continue to stay connected to Renfrew through the many services offered. Having this access to the wisdom of recovered alumni and from Renfrew staff will enhance your opportunities for emotional connection and educational support.
I'm excited to bring you resources that will be beneficial to you and welcome feedback on what topics you suggest for further support. I hope that you and those who support you in this process of recovery will find the many opportunities we provide to be helpful - but, remember, they can only be effective if you participate. As you grow in recovery, know that Renfrew is here for each and every one of you who has come through our doors.
Thank you for allowing Renfrew's Alumni Services to share this journey with you!
Warmly,Rachel Tenny, MA, LPCAAlumni Coordinator
