Our patients often tell us that they are unable to express themselves or find the words to describe what they are feeling – the eating disorder has taken away their voice. Families and friends often feel the same way. Because of this, we dedicate a critical piece of the recovery journey to helping those in our care feel safe enough and strong enough to share the feelings and experiences that have been kept quiet for so long. That self-expression can come in various forms — talking, writing, or through art or movement. This section includes inspirational Expressions of Recovery which are designed to help support you as you move through this journey into full recovery.
